Hello Prayerful Friends,
Our family is half-way through dh's 36 day deployment to Banda Aceh, Indonesia. We have been able to stay in touch via email but not through regular mail. Last night we were thrilled to hear his voice for the second time since he left on the phone! He shared that many relief workers are getting weary and some are falling into sinful behavior. We need to keep the prayers coming!
Please also pray for our family at home. Dave has never been away from us for more than 3 weeks. We're entering new terrain and feel vulnerable. We were blessed with an abundance of grace our first two weeks which held us up well. Starting this past Saturday, I could feel a shift...into the desert  .
Thank you for your prayers. Our family is offering prayers for all of you daily.

Praying for you Angie...I guess the desert is a good place to be during Lent, but oh, how those trips to places with different time zones and languages try our souls!

JOYFUL UPDATE:
Dave arrived home safely 2 days early! The children and I picked him up last night at the Phoenix airport at 6:10 pm. He looks AWESOME and...well I'm rarely at a loss for words, LOL, but this is one of those times  . Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers and community through this difficult time!
When we were all in a huddle family hug at the airport gate, we separated and Dave said, "Wow, you've ALL grown!" while looking upon my blooming belly. God is good .
I'm off to make his favorite meal...Thanksgiving dinner with ALL the fixin's.
