I have never been in this position before and it is so much easier to give than to receive but I was strongly encouraged to ask for more prayers.
Long story short, on Memorial weekend my husband (Dave)got a puncture wound to his knee from clearing brush on the farm. It was not very large or deep (just three staples at the emergency room) but with close supervision by an orthopedist it became septic and the infection entered his blood stream. He had arthroscopic surgery last Friday to clean out the knee and spent several days in the hospital under the care of an Infection Control doctor. He is now home on IV antibiotics for the next 6-8 weeks. He can't walk yet so we are also having to do some physical therapy and he is on a ROM machine to help with mobility.
Well, today I went in for my 35 week check up and apparently the stress of the past 2-3 weeks has taken a toll on me and the baby. I only measured 33 weeks instead of 35 weeks. The baby has dropped and of course I am starting to dilate which is not a big surprise or deal. I've just never dealt with a *growth* problem before and the additional thought that something might be wrong with the baby is almost more than I can bear right now. Our doctor is concerned and they are sending me for another ultra sound tomorrow. They are also going to have to check with a pediatric infection control specialist to make sure it is ok that Dave be there on delivery day. The thought of not having Dave by my side during labor is inconceivable for me right now...
I have to say all this news today was the icing on the cake for me and I can't stop crying. I am constantly trying to offer this up in prayer but it hasn't been easy.
I am asking could you PLEASE keep our baby girl in your prayers that everything will be ok. Please keep me in your prayers and please keep Dave in your prayers for continued recovery so that he will be well enough to drive to the hospital and be there to help me when the time comes.

Praying, Leslie, for you, baby, your husband and wonderful children. This is a lot to bear right now.
My s-i-l had a bruise turn septic 1 1/2 years ago, so I know how serious these things can be. Please know you're all in my prayers.

Oh, Leslie, I'm praying for you. I wouldn't be surprised to find that the difference in the baby's measurements is simply because she's dropped.

Hi Leslie , I feel for you so much .
Our ds Indigo was only 3 when he had an infection of the bone in his right foot due to a bike accident .
took 2 weeks IV and 3 months oral anibiotics .
It was draining to be in hospital with him absolutly draining sleeping there .
I was pregnant with twins .It was so tiring .
Please if you can at all try and nap when you can just small little naps you and your baby belly 
do you have family or friends who could come once a week take truns to help you ?
In regards to spiritual help go to our lady if we are having a hard time often it is she who can help us begin our comforting journey to get through those tough times.
I pray at night if I ever have trouble sleeping( I hardly ever have trouble sleeping ) just asking our lady Momma Mary please help me sleep please bestill my heart help release my worry . then pray 1 hail mary that is all no more . close your eyes .I don't ever remember anything after that moment
Remember this too shall pass but for now may our lady comfort you

Well we just got back from the ultrasound and the doctor said we had absolutely nothing to worry about. Our baby is growing beautifully and that I am just carrying her really really low. Apparently this can affect measurements...
Now, I can focus all my energy and prayers for Dave's recovery.
I can not begin to tell you what a relief I feel. All I know is that the only way I got through the rest of yesterday and today was through everyone's prayers.
