Well, ladies, GOD IS SO GOOD!!
I wrote a while ago asking you all to pray for me as I struggled to trust God as we waited for a better housing situation. Well, after a decent amount of time during which God certainly did "stretch" me, and JUST before this baby has come (waiting any day now for #5 -- anytime between now and the next 3 weeks or so) we have been offered a 4 bedroom apartment through public housing at a GREATLY reduced rent (making it possible for us to take it!).
Thank you all for all of your prayers and offerings for me and my family. I know I felt a greater peace immediately after I asked you to pray. aLSO, Knowing there were others who felt that paralyzed feeling at times helped me get through my own, and I certainly offered my trialS for these ladies as well.
Of course, your continued prayers are greatly appreciated! :) We will be setting up house with me first extremely pregnant and then with a newborn, and I've always been... let's say organizationally (as far as a house is concerned) and cleanliness challenged. :) I have a lot of help this time around with my family (mom and sisters, etc), but this is not something that comes easily to me. On top of which I cannot afford to just buy that set of shelves that would actually work for us, for instance, and have to rely mainly on whatever we have already, can find in a thrift store at a price we can afford, or someone gives us.
Also, since we have pretty much no money for all the little things and big furniture we need (we've been living with my mom and could use everything from soap to hampers to shelves, etc.) prayers for God to provide... or rather, prayers of thanksgiving for all that I know God will provide would be wonderful, too. ... and if anyone knows someone in San Diego who is just dying to give away a kitchen/dining set that seats 8 people, well that would be just wonderful. :)

I don't know how I missed your first prayer request! This is great news.  I am really impressed by your faith, and the way it has gotten you through this situation. (Humbled actually). I will pray for the move to go smoothly!

So happy to hear this. I will pray that God will continue to provide for your dear family! I have to confess that our happiest times as a family, were those when we were strapped, no cash, and living as simply as we could. There is something about that simplicity that brings abundant blessings of peace, closeness, and REAL happiness. It's evident in the way you talk and give glory to God for His great generosity that you are feeling that happiness. What blessings. Continued prayers for all of your practical needs!!!

Maire, do you use Freecycle? It is a network of local groups that allow people to give away unwanted items to people who can use them. Usually you can post requesting particular things - there may be someone out there who has that table and chairs you need!
