My poor 2 yo dd has been progressively worsening with a cough that has turned into wheezing and possible pneumonia. We've been to the doctor twice this week, and she has been a little trooper- but now I can tell she is wearing out and is tired and just not feeling good at all.
Please pray that she will have relief soon.

It does sound like pneumonia. Does she have a fever?

We were just there - with coughing and pneumonia and a 2yo - not fun for the normally peppy little guys. Not a big fan of overdoing antibiotics, but they sure did help us quickly. Praying she experiences some relief with this soon!!!!!

Antibiotics, steroids, aerosol treatments, oh my!!  Yep, we have had to go down that yellow brick road several times, not a trip I like taking......
Praying, Melinda, that she gets better quick, are they getting more aggressive since she is no better? Offering up Ave's for all of you, that the Blessed Mother will wrap you all in Her mantle.......keep us updated.

Thank you all for your prayers. The x-ray yesterday came back as normal- no pneumonia, which I was extremely thankful for. She is still very wheezy and crackly when she breathes- the doctor thinks either viral or mycoplasma infection that she is reacting to very strongly. We changed antibiotics today to one that covers mycoplasma and are doing a breathing treatment every four hours.
Today she is feeling better and running around. The doctor said I did not need to restrict her activity as long as she was feeling good- but just try to stay out of the heat and limit pool or backyard time to an hour early in the day. If she's not much improved by Friday we will go back for another check.
I just wish the wheezing would go away. It is so disturbing and unnatural. I wake up all night to check on her.

Wheezing is so very nervewracking. Glad it's not pneumonia, though! Praying for her...
