Dear Friends,
I will be induced early tomorrow morning and I'm asking for prayers for a smooth delivery and a healthy baby. I have very little amniotic fluid and so the doctor does not want me going past my due date, hence the induction. I am hopeful that the gel, and/or breaking my water will be enough to start labor, so that I don't have to labor with pitocin.
For some reason I am very nervous and scared, and want to cry like a baby at the thought of the pain. I feel very silly, as I know it will be okay, and that at the end I will be holding a little baby boy in my arms. Please pray for my anxiety.
Also, we are delivering here in Suriname, and though I'm confident that the care I receive will be fine, the facilities are very basic and I don't have access to world class paediatric heart surgeons or fabulous neonatal care, so I am praying especially hard that the baby is happy and healthy and that we can come home quickly.
