Would you all please pray for Maggie, the two year old daughter of a friend? I don't know the details, but she was badly burned yesterday morning. They had to medi-vac her to the hospital and she has extensive burns on her arms and torso. She is still in the hospital and the latest update I have is that she is healing but they are asking for continued prayers.
They have three other children, the oldest is six.
UPDATE: Here is an email from Maggie's mom.
First of all, let us thank you all so much for
"storming Heaven" with prayers on our behalf. I can
tell you for certain that they helped us more than we
could possibly express. Maggie's situation could have
been so much worse than it was. THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
THANK YOU!
The update: Maggie suffered partial thickness burns
to 10-15% of her body in a "hot boiling jam" incident.
She was taken by life-flight to the burn center at DC
Childrens' Hospital. They took great care of her
there and have assured us that they expect her to heal
fully with no permanent scarring (that in and of it
itself would be an additional miracle seeing her as we
see her now!) The worst burns are on the right side
of her face & ear, both arms, scattered to her belly,
chest and back. Then she has more superficial burns to
the same areas and also to her right leg. She is
currently in a body wrap to her arms and torso and her
face is very swollen. But her spirits have been
absolutely incredible throughout the entire ordeal.

Update 2 from Maggie's mom:
I thought I would share our news from Maggie's most
recent visit to the Burn Clinic today. Dh and I
both know that we have been first-hand witnesses to
the power of prayer on Maggie's behalf and we have
just been so impressed with her healing this past
week.
Well...the Nurse Practitioner and surgeon who saw her
last week were GENUINELY SHOCKED to see her today!!
They could not believe how much the areas they were
pretty sure would need grafting last week had healed
since then. They brought the dept head in as well and
he too was impressed with her healing. We promptly
informed all of them that Maggie certainly had a lot
of people praying for her.
The bottom line: her healing is progressing better
than expected and they expect it to all heal fully on
its own. PRAISE GOD!!!! She still has some healing
to do and will have to remain out of the sun and pool
to allow these very delicate tissues to heal properly.
THANK YOU ALL FOR EVERYTHING!!!
