This has been a sorrowful week for many of my Navy friends. Please pray. One Navy family is in great distress due to a serious crisis in the dad's command. They really, really need prayer right now. Another friend was just diagnosed with multiple cancerous brain tumors. A third friend with ALS is holding his own, but can't talk...he's only in his mid-40's...and is totally wheelchair-bound now. A fourth Navy friend just underwent a bone marrow transplant this week.

I humbly ask for your prayers for these dear people; we've shared Navy tours and friendships with them over the years and I am very sad because they are suffering.

Update June 7:

My friend Harriet has lost her battle with cancer. The brain tumors took her home to God very quickly; she died Wednesday night. Fortunately, her daughters and loving husband were with her at home when she passed away. Please pray for Mark and his daughters as they come to terms with Harriett's passing.

Also, my Navy friend and her family are facing many difficult issues...the situation with her husband is not good. They are really devout Christians, and they will need many prayers to see this situation through.

Your prayers are wonderful and effective. I thank you for remembering my friends in these difficult times.
