I want to thank all of you who have posted to me publicly and privately about your prayers for our parish. It is already making a difference. I spoke to our pastor yesterday in a support phone call and got off the phone so edified by his faith and trust in God taking care of the situation. I have another homeschool mom friend who is inviting people to the same Holy Hour as our priests this week to show them support (4am!) also she encouraged attendance at the evening Mass the day of the meeting to help the situation. I know many calls of support have come to the parish, so God-willing, things will work to the good. I will let you know how the meeting goes Thursday. God bless you all and thank you
----------------------------------------------------
I ask urgently for you to pray for the priests in our parish. We received two wonderful priests from Spain in December of 2006 from the Order of Christ the Priest (I think that is the name?). They are wonderful, holy, devout men. They do what the Holy Father asks and they are teaching the Catholic faith and it is rankling many in our parish who have had very little authentic Catholic teaching. Many of the people of the parish never had Catholic instruction beyond sixth grade and the pastor who was here about ten years ago taught many heresies, particulary in regards to valid marriages and family planning. Anyway, there is to be a meeting this Thursday night to discuss whether these men will stay at our parish or return to Spain. These men encourage vocations to the priest hood, say their Divine Office faithfully, they wear cassocks, they have abolished girl altar servers, they say Confessions one hour before each Mass. They encourage devotion to Rosary, the Blessed Sacrament and Divine Mercy. They schedule prayer hours into their daily schedule and to be before the Blessed Sacrament outside of Mass. They are exactly what the Church needs and exactly what could bring many into our parish back into full communion if the hard hearts of the people could be moved by grace.
Could I ask you to please pray this week for them and our parish? Please offer any inspirations of prayer and sacrifice that you can. Offer those dirty diapers and offer your piles of laundry that need to be folded and offer up the mopping of the floor for the third time that day. Offer the struggles you face with homeschooling for this intention. By building up one parish, we build up the Church, one block at a time.
I know that your prayers are powerful. Please Catholic families, pray for this intention.
You have my debt of thanks,
Peggy in Wisconsin

Welcome, Peggy.
I am praying that all involved can work together in a charitable and prayerful way during this difficult testing. May all minds be clear and objective and all hearts be compassionate and gentle.
Love,

Praying here, Peggy!
I am curious, are these priests from the Society of Jesus Christ the Priest? Do they have a school in New Jersey and Spain as well? We had one of those VERY holy priests here in Virginia, and it was wonderful! Can I ask their names?
