I wanted to post this here for prayers, but it could also go in the adoption forum I guess.
We have been discerning if another adoption is in our future. Both of us feel God is calling us in that direction. Our last baby is from China, but we both feel that domestic is next for us. In fact not too long ago I got a contact for a woman who is a NP with an Ob/gyn who also counsels women not to abort and sometimes helps facilitates adoption. We have been in the process of reaching her and getting more info, but we have been taking it slow.
Last night while talking to a friend who's daughter is from China as well, we began to discuss the possibility of future babies (doesn't that always happen at some point or another in a discussion between moms?!) It casually came out that we are hoping to adopt again, this time domestic, but the time frame is uncertain. She looked me straight in the eye and told me this: another adoptive mom she is friends with recently told her about a neighbor who has a teenage daughter with a baby due in 3 months who is looking for a family and did they know anyone who is interested in adopting. When my friend B told me this we both flooded with tears and and were stunned. This moment was covered in grace y'all!
Today the friend C, is dropping by the neighbors office to inquire more about the situation and if they are still looking for a family.
I know this is in God's hands and even if this baby isn't meant to join our family, I do have a role to play in it's life. My role is now to pray for the baby and it's teenage mom and family.
Now I ask for your prayers for this girl and her parents and this new life. Please pray for them and for us as we try to do God's will.

C spoke with her neighbor and the story is more convoluted than I thought. Apparently, the girl who is pregnant is a friend of her niece. Currently the girl and her boyfriend (both 16) are living in a hotel. That is all the detail I know. However, the neighbor is going to talk to her neice to see if the kids are still looking for an adoptive family or if they are going to try to make it on their own. Please keep them and us in your prayers!
