He's been under a lot of stress the past few weeks, and now his heart has been fluttering for the last 2 days. He keeps things to himself and won't talk about it, then he ends up very stressed. I'm sure it's nothing, but he could use the prayers. I wish he would learn to open up and talk about what's bothering him, but that's just how he is.
Thank you for your prayers. I'll be offering up Mass for your intentions tomorrow morning.
God bless

My husband has been having fluttering more frequently, but he said he's also feeling tingling on both arms. He's not going to get it checked out, unless it gets worse Now I'm getting concerned.

Dear Ruth,
My husband use to suffer this problem and it usually surfaced with stress but for him too, there were other factors, he had two root canals removed that were causing an infection to always present throughout his whole body, when they were removed (they discovered a cyst sitting behind one of the root canals) all his heart fluttering stopped as well as other health problems. The heart fluttering had been very serious for him, he had ended up in emergency ward of a cardiac hospital.
So I think there can be physical and emotional causes that often combine together. Stress was usually to trigger of an episode. I would do an internet search on this condition and see if you can see any connections to your husband's heath in general.
I will pray that this will resolve permenantly for your dear husband, he has been through alot and so have you.

Thanks, Ann. He's had a few tests done, including a 24 hour monitor, but nothing showed up in the tests. I think his personality has a lot to do with it. He suffers from severe anxiety attacks , most of which he won't tell me until days later. It's very painful to see him suffer and not be able to help him.
I'll talk to him about searching on-line about it. I have an issue with my 17dd with school and was hoping to talk to him about it tonight, but that's not going to happen now
Thanks for your prayers.
God bless.

Ruth, It is funny but that is was my husband's experience too - the missing beat was elusive to catch on 24hour monitoring The only reason he got a proper diagnosis on it was because he had an extreme attack after some unneccessary stress placed upon him by the behaviour of a relative (and he is a very mild mannered man so would never express his feelings) and we rushed to the emergency as he was having trouble breathing, the missing beats were casading upon him. We were fortunate that the top cardiac hospital was just done the road from a baptism we were attending at the time. After monitoring him for a few hours in Casualty, they said the fluttering was a continual delayed beat.

You must be talking about my husband.
I hope and pray it never gets as severe as your dear husband's episode. I'm so glad your dh was finally diagnosed.

Oh, Ruth, I'm praying for your dh. I have had this problem off and on since Maggie's days in the NICU. It is usually triggered by stress, but caffeine and/or too much sugar sometimes do it, too. My dr. said it can also be hormonal, but that may not be correct in your dh's case. It is scary, but after several tests and 48 hours of monitoring, all of which showed no problem, I've learned that if I ignore it, it will go away. If I freak out, it just gets worse. Prayers for all of you!

I just spoke to Bernie a few minutes ago, and he said he has been having fluttering more frequently, but he said he's also feeling tingling on both arms. He's not going to get it checked out, unless it gets worse Now I'm getting concerned.
