Bored with me yet??? I know I AM 
Here are the original posts:
I am starting a new one because I could not edit the subject line since it was not my post, and I tired of the word "urgent" in the subject line 
Okay, here's the deal: the pain in my tooth never subsided, ever, after the ibuprofen wears off. The antibiotics I went on for the first time in 21 years have changed nothing in regards to the pain 
So, I have three choices, according to the dentist, one of which includes something that may only last 6-8 weeks, which puts me on the other side of the country  .......bad situation. And, prob will not work anyway, since there has never been any improvement.....
So, I am going to have a root canal. This pain was dentist caused.......maybe it was my own tooth ready to go off.....or, did he go too far?? The pain started when he put the filling in, while I was numb ......who knows, but either way, I get to pay a lot of money to have it fixed 
Please pray this works and solves my problem......also, please pray like you did last time that the anesthesia does not affect me like it usually does........the prayers worked last time! 
oh, one last thing.......please pray that the ibuprofen I have been taking, was not too excessive for my kidneys
hmmmm.......as long as I am already here begging prayers, please pray the dentist can take care of everything quickly!!! He is SO SLOWWWWWWWWWW. I am often sitting in the chair for half a day, or more!
I was thinking this was a good way to share my sufferings with Our Lord on Holy Thursday

Oh Chari, you've had a time of it! Is it a tooth up near the front somewhere? Because if it isn't I'd be seriously saying goodbye to the tooth altogether!  I have lost two teeth and I have them pulled, one is right at the back the other is mid way and can only be seen with a very big smile  - well I'll be praying for you, I hope you come back soon with good news which ever way you go, with no complications!

Praying for you, Chari. BTDT. My continued pain a few months ago was also dentist-caused, so I had to see a specialist.

I'm so sorry! I have definitely BTDT, with a root canal that followed SO much pain. The dentist said, "Oh. I thought that filling might not be enough treatment." Do you have a choice of seeing an endodontist? They are the root canal specialists and usually work quickly. They also tend to do the whole root canal in one visit, which is much better than needing to come back for part 2 of the job.
I am praying that you can get this resolved quickly and that your pain will be alleviated.

You are all so sweet.  And, I am so sorry for those of you who know only too well this cross I bear
It is a back tooth, Anne. I DO want to keep it. I like to eat with it
Well, here is what ended up happening: he took out the filling that started the whole thing and put in desensitzing stuff........said it could hold me till after my trip....unless it does not work, which he said we should know before a week was up.
He even thought maybe the filling was the cause of my pain..........I am begining to think so, too, thinking about how it started.
He also said that he would not do a root canal on that tooth because it is a wisdom tooth......would send me to a specialist. It would have been nice to know all of that up front. I like to know ALL of the possiblities before I make a decision........argh.
anyway.......I got home, and the numbing stuff wore off, and it ached, of course.......but no horrible pain...........till a few hours later, so, I took just one more ibuprofen.....what's one more dose?
well, that was the last pain medicine I have had........1730 on Holy Thursday. I am now over 48hrs since pain med! YAY!! It does start throbbing now and then, and the arnica has been enough, so far. Totally takes the pain away. Up until now, I had never gone more than 8-15 hrs without ibuprofen for 4 weeks......this is huge!

Oh, do not give up the prayers, please!.......this still needs to work.......AND, get me through a two month trip. Plus, I have more work still to do before I leave..........yes, I guess I AM brave

ah, man...I SO wish I did not need to post here again.....I am so tired, I am not even sure I can post coherently.
The drama continues.......still no pain from that other tooth that caused pain for 4 weeks. yay.
so, he went to back to work on my other tooth......and now, as of today, for 4 weeks, I have had a headache or toothache, or both. This tooth did not hurt till he messed with it...just like the other...
I am really trying hard not to stress out over this  .....but, I leave in less than three weeks for the cross-country trip I just want to be well......and take NO pain meds (just ASA or Motrin)!!!!! I have taken more in the last 8 weeks than in my whole life.
oh, and then, I found out two weeks ago, he sold his practice to another dentist.....while he was in the middle of working on two of my teeth!! He is a family friend, so I am a bit miffed over being misled (lied to?)......he knew darn well he was selling his practice...........it did not just suddenly happen!! Grrrrr!
I am going to call him tonight.
Please pray we can resolve all of this asap! I continue to offer it all up for your intentions!
