Friends,
Would you be so kind to keep my cousin, Patti, in your prayers...
Over the past 6 weeks she has been experiencing a series of health issues...gall bladder attacks/removal, shingles, thyroid dysfunction, reactions to medications, and yesterday, she awakened with paralysis on one side of her face which the doctors are diagnosing as Bells Palsy. It is all quite perplexing...and alarming.
Patti lives in KC with her husband Steve. They have five daughters (ages 5-16) - who are struggling as well.

I've been there, just last year, and I also have a thyroid condition. It's very scary and debilitating. I will certainly pray for her and the children.

What comfort one finds in prayer! Thank you.
I really don't have any new info about Patti, other than the doctors are trying another thyroid medication this week.
Ruth, do you still have paralysis from Bells Palsy? I really don't know much about the disease. Perhaps you have some suggestions...It just seems so overwhelming right now.

I still don't have that much strength in my right eye, but the rest of my face is back to normal. I was put on a steroid, which gave me a VERY high heart rate. Every time I got up, my heart rate would go up and I would have difficulty breathing. I was in bed for about 2 weeks, because of it. I have never felt so sick in my life. 
I will continue to pray for Patty. I don't really have any suggestions, but probably expect some sort of bed rest
