Last Sunday we were all out on a family bike ride in wonderful springlike weather. Dh often works Sunday afternoons at home correcting, etc., and so it was extra special that he came with us all.
Well...dh broke his left arm.
It was really a fluke accident. He was pulling the kid car behind his bike, which is not a problem while riding, but he began to walk with the bike making a sharp left, so that dd4 could have a view of a hot air balloon which was behind her. His left foot got caught under the bar connecting the cart to the bike and began to fall. He couldn't catch himself because his foot was caught.
After the accident, he continued to ride with us(but I took the cart) another hour or so. He did not even consider his arm being broke, just a possible sprang. It did hurt, naturally, but not overwhelmingly. So on Monday he went to the dr. Voila! a cast!
2 days later - major itching and a numb feeling. Back to the dr. - He is allergic to the bandaging under the cast! He got a new type of plastic brace???? He went back again today for a check up and his skin is even worse and the swelling has increased. Now he is in the hospital to see if they have a solution. Possibly the solution will be an operation with a couple of screws in his elbow.
This whole thing is just unbelievable. We just wanted to have a nice family bike ride together. I am so thankful that dh has such a good sense of humor.
Anyway, please pray for full healing for his arm, and that nothing else goes wrong. Thanks.

Ouch! What a fluke thing to happen! And I sympathize with the itching - I also react to adhesives on bandages and it's not at all pleasant! I will pray for a solution and for your dh to feel better soon.

Thank you all for your prayers. At last, his skin is no longer so itchy and we are hopeful that everything will just run its course normally for the next few weeks.
