My husband owns a small trucking company. He drives and then his nephew and a friend (owner operators) run under our company. Over the course of the last 4 months they have done business with a company called Truckers Express and they have been waiting for months to get paid. They hadn't been returning calls and now we have learned that the company shut down. This company owes us over $12,000 in earned income and we could use your prayers for wisdom as we move forward with trying to collect this money.

This is something I found online about the company, but I am not standing on this report. We are going to contant the shipper who would have paid T.E.I to contract the load. Please pray for God's favor and provision.
For all of you that may not be aware, T.E.I. has closed their doors for business as of 2/26/07. It is belived that this is nothing more than a ploy to attempt to get out of the law suit that they lost to the drivers, and the eight million dollars that they owe on filed claims from such, not counting what they owe present contractors. Back last Sept. they attempted to sell the company to a Pa. based company that already owns several trucking companies but the deal fell through because of the money they owe on the law suit. So if T.E.I. owes you money you might as well write it off, as you will never get it.

Oh, Theresa! It's too horrible. I understand about contracting. We have been dealing with that over the years - my husband is an independent sub contractor for government projects. We had one contract over $20K in arrears. Our current client is always late, but does pay us. They are about 45 days instead of the agreed 30, but thanks be to God, they're getting the checks steadily to us.
I'll pray for something to come through for you!
