Doctor appointment tomorrow for:
Garrett---to have a mole checked and possibly removed
Corey---to have a cyst behind his ear checked and possibly removed. Also, to have his knee checked from an old soccer injury. This will probably mean a referral. It's been bothering him a lot lately. He can no longer kneel on it.
Mid-March for:
Annie---tooth work being done.
Thanks for any and all prayers.

I was either the fact that Annie and I were praying at Adoration or that all of you dear ladies were praying here but we had an unexpected (potentially deadly) medical emergency happen here last night.
My oldest ds is building a deer stand (this is a sideline business he does). I told him the other day I thought the stand was oversized and he said the man requested it a little larger than regular so he'd have room to stand and move around. Well, I got the last laugh. Corey couldn't get it out of the shop and had to cut the top off. Momma knows best, even if she isn't a hunter.
So it's sitting on the slab outside the shop and he needed to weld the top back on. He asked his dad to hold the top bar (these are solid heavy bars he's handling) and he warned Mark that it was "loose".
Well, Mark thought he meant "loose" not just "sitting there" and he leaned down to check out the door and the whole quarter section of the roof fell on Mark's head. It knocked him to the ground. He sliced his bottom lip and has a huge bump on the back of his head. I wanted to take him to have it checked but he refused.
Had the bar hit him two inches more below it probably would have killed him.
He said it's a wonder he didn't pass out. Corey panicked (he doesn't handle crisis well AT ALL).
But Mark is always good for a joke. This morning I asked him how he was and he just stood here staring at me with this goofy look. I asked him twice before I realized he was just toying with me.
Garrett helped his brother twice the day before. I get the shivers everytime I think of him having been out there instead of dh. It would have killed him.
I've often told the girls not to go in the shop or when Corey's working in there. It was a tough lesson to reinforce our teaching but there it was.
Thank you so much for ALL your prayers.

Dawn,
Your prayer post about your cats reminded me...
Our dear, beloved house dog has been sick since last night. Something is wrong with her and we don't know what. We were hoping she'd be back to normal this morning but she hasn't gotten out of her bed. If you look at her or talk to her she breaks out in shivers.
She's not feeling well, poor baby. She'll be 13 this April.
I was already planning to take both dogs to the vet this week so we'll see what he says.

Thank you for the prayers, everyone. Seems that we walked away with more progress than I thought possible from the first dr. visit.
Garrett's mole was frozen and we're hoping it'll fall off in a couple hours. Otherwise it'll have to be cut off. Dr. wasn't concerned about it. It just picks and itches him at times (it's along his collar) and he was tired of the irritation.
Corey will go in next Tuesday to have the cyst drained and hopefully that will do the trick. Otherwise it'll mean surgical removal but the dr. said it feels very soft as though it isn't in a cavity so normally it'll drain and that'll be that. He said it could always fill back up back that could be years down the road. We can live with this.
He said the knee looks and feels fine. He gave Corey some anti-inflamatory medicine for the knee and wants an X-ray done just to make sure what we're dealing with. But he thinks it's just tentenitis (sp?) or arthritis from that old soccer injury.
So nothing life threatening or MAJOR.
Thank you all again.

I've been praying, Cay, although I didn't post. I'm glad it was all minor so far. How are the dogs? And how is Mark? Headache?

I'm glad it's good news, Cay. Saying prayers it continues that way ... and extra prayers for your sweet dog, too.

Thank you for asking, Jenn.
We've been keeping our eyes on Frenchie all day long. She gets up to go outside then comes back to her bed. We can't pick her up without her squealing in pain and she hasn't eaten anything but she does seem a tad better.
We'll see in the morning and what the vet says.
Mark is no worse for the wear. I always knew he had a thick head. Thank you for the prayers.
