Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am still here planning our trip to the East Coast......we will be going from DC all the way up to the southern part of the coast of Maine. What must we see or do?

We love all things nature, historical & Catholic? Does that cover everything???

Thanks!

PS....I will do a separate post just for DC.....

There's the Burgess center on the Cape in Massachusetts. That's one of our must sees when we ever get a chance to visit my MIL who lives on the Cape.

Wow -- how fun! I don't know what time of year you are traveling, Chari, but if you're "salty," and if it fits in with your road trip, you might like this...

Cape May Ferry

It's a car ferry that travels from Delaware to Cape May, New Jersey. We did it once and the kids loved it -- although I'm not "salty," I got a little queasy -- it was the middle of the summer and a hurricane was due in a few days.

Although as I recommend this I just looked at the costs. It's kind of pricey -- all my guys are little, so it was free for them -- but I'll post it anyway, for FYI.
