Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Will you please pray for Emma, the beautiful 5yo dd of our friends? She was recently diagnosed with cancer. They removed one of her kidneys this week and hopefully all of the tumor that has invaded her body.

Both she and her family could use all of the prayer support we can offer. Thank you so much for your faithfulness.

I will be praying for Emma. God bless her

Prayer to the Infant of Prague
O merciful Infant Jesus! I know of Thy miraculous deeds for the sick. In view of the innumerable graces and the cures granted through the veneration of Thy Holy Infancy, particularly in the statue of Prague, I exclaim with the greatest assurance: O most loving Infant Jesus, Thou canst cure ___ if Thou wilt! Extend Thy holy hand and by Thy power take away all pain and infirmity. Amen.

Praying that the surgery has cured the cancer. I have heard that kidney cancer is highly curable if caught early.

I received this message from Emma's father today:

Our Emma got out of surgery on Monday evening and the results were not quite what we had hoped for...that being the removal of the tumor. The Navy surgeon, who has performed many, many of these type of cancerous tumor removals, said that the tumor was just too big and attached to try to get it out at this time without rupturing the tumor. They took samples from the lymph nodes and also from the bone marrow, installed a catheter into her chest and closed the wound.

The plan is now to receive the results from pathology on Thursday where the type of cancer will be determined. With this, a course of chemotherapy will be started almost immediately corresponding to the type of tumor to shrink it's size. This will proceed for 6-8 weeks whereby surgery can then be performed to remove the cancer. Post-surgical chemo and/or radiation would then be performed to kill whatever is left. We are in for the long haul....

This family has three other young children. Please continue to pray...
