Dear friends,

Please pray fervently for a local friend of mine. She is expecting her fifth child, 23 weeks along, and experiencing labor contractions. She called from her cell on the way to the hospital asking for prayers.

Poor Mary had a miscarriage several months ago, and she is so grateful to be holding this new little life within her. Please pray for the safety of her child today and throughout the next few months.

Good news, friends! Mary wrote with a hopeful update. Here is a portion of it:

The baby is staying where he/she belongs-thank God. They now have a very sensitive test to determine pre-labor. The test was negative.The doctor said that some women have contractions throughout their pregnancy and now that I have a baseline, if they become more intense or frequent, I need to come in for a labor check.

I am very relieved. Thank you for your prayers.
