While talking with DD#2 about her SAT review class, the topic of their grammar review came up. She said no one could understand or knew what a prepositional phrase was or how to use it to find the subject of a sentence.
Although she said she can no longer recite the memorized list of prepositions, she can pick them out , cross them out and then look for the subject of the sentence.
"Thanks Mom for teaching me grammar."
YES!, Mom wins that one.
