OK this is a bit personal, however I think it is the funniest thing that has ever happened to me I had to share......
I have been suffering from a fissure, VERY PAINFUL!!!!! It flares up from time to time after the last baby....Ok so I call the dr. tell him the intensity of the pain, he calls in prescription, dh goes to pick it up, comes home with a bottle of, get this, I am not kidding, Rectal Rocket!!!!! Honest to goodness this is the name of the medication. I honestly thought it was a joke so I Googles it, and sure enough it came up!!
So there that should make anyone having a bad day laugh...dh is now calling me Rocket woman

This isn't funny. It's eery. 
Get this...
A couple years ago my dh had a fissure and was given these very same rockets. I thought it was so funny at the time.
My mother went to the doctor yesterday and was disagnosed with a fissure and sent to the same pharmacy for the same medicine my dh was on.
What do you suppose my mother and I discussed while eating lunch over my make-shift island today?????

I'm sorry you have to have surgery. You're right, that part isn't funny.

I know this is personal and may get TMI for this Forum  ---- but how did you know? What was the indicating factor for the surgery? Just bleeding and pain or may I ask, is it getting in the way of other functions? I have had similar issues for a while and just don't bring it to the doctor. I just treat myself with OTC stuff.....???? Thanks, Molly! I mean: Rocket Gal.
