It is so hard for me to request a prayer for myself, but I feel like I really need some prayers right now. My arthritis is beginning to spread, and the joints that are currently affected are weakening significantly. My thyroid has also 'gone off' causing Parkinson's like tremours in my hand and face, significant hair loss and migraines that behave like strokes with slurred speech and partial blindness.
I am visiting a new doctor next week - a naturopath that I know will help me. The practice is headed by a faithful Catholic and so prayer is certain to be part of my treatment! I have found an alternative to Enbrel, called Kineret, which I'm looking into for after I've weaned Louis.
I've set his weaning for 6 months old. I hate to do it, but felt it was necessary in order to be able to cleanse and be treated. I also wanted to make sure he got good protection from BF... Thanks be to God, he's a big boy and will likely transistion to solids and goat's milk fairly easily.
In the meantime, I have to keep a lot of projects going while battling my body. God is blessing our family business and I want to steward those blessings in thanksgiving. My temper is shortening and I'm feeling very tired - physically and emotionally.
Please pray with me to St. Benedict and Our Blessed Mother who have helped me so much in the past and also to Bl. Theresa and St. Brigid, who I have a special devotion to.

Prayers for you, Nissa. I can only imagine how difficult this must be for you....keeping up with all the home responsiblities while dealing with the suffering of arthritis.
