Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was over at the Simply Charlotte Mason site and read about this. Has anyone seen this or used it? Any comments?

Becky, I have this book. We made it up to lesson 7 and then we stopped. NOT because it isn't good. I don't even remember now why we stopped, but I'm glad you reminded me of it!

I think it is a good way of tying in the 7 days of Creation with science.

She has a list in the beginning of the book of all the supplies you will need for all 106 days, and then there is also a list before each lesson. She also has reminders on the sides of the pages -- i.e. a book you might need in 7 days from the library. So it is pretty organized. She states you could do 3 lessons a week and finish in one year -- I think it depends on the age of the kids.

That is another concern -- for older children she recommends buying "Considering God's Creation". I did buy it but we haven't used it yet.

The Creation days are split like this:

Day One - Light, Shadows, Reflections & Refractions, Color (5 lessons)
Day Two - Atmosphere, Air Pressure, Wind, Clouds, Water, Weather (10 lessons)
Day Three - Land, Soil, Plants, Trees (14 lessons)
Day Four - Universe, Moon, Stars, Solar System (7 lessons)
Day Five - Insects, Classifications, Birds, Fish (18 lessons)
Day Six - Mammals, Reptiles, Amphibians, Man (45 lessons)
Day Seven - Rest, Stewardship of Earth (4 lessons)

Wow, typing this up for you is getting my excitement level back up!

I would recommend it, BUT like I said we have only done a few lessons so far!

Hope this helps -- PM me if you want any more details...
