and I think some of you may be familiar with the area.
We're only two counties away now, but it's a whole different world "over the mountain", as we say out here.
We're hoping to find a rental in the Round Hill/Purcellville area because we can still feel like we're out in the country there, and because we're familiar with St. Francis -- Grace and Sam were baptized there, Chris converted there, *and* one of our favorite priests of all time, Father Kelly, is the pastor there now.
Any recommendations -- doctors, dentists, neighborhoods, homeschooling groups -- will be most gratefully welcomed. And I would love to meet some Real Learners in real life.
Anyone have a house they want to rent?

Wendy,
Any chance you can meet Molly and me at St. Francis today at noon for Mass???
How very exciting. And Molly lives a stone's throw from St. Francis--she's a font of information and connections!

Hi Wendy,
We moved from Leesburg a little over two years ago and I miss it! We actually belonged to Our Lady of Hope in Sterling, but that's ways away from you.
One of my favorite parts about Loudoun County is that the libraries don't charge for overdue books-- they just keep asking for them back. Prince William, on the other hand, is making a killing off of my disorganization . . .
God bless you in your move!

Wendy,
I don't know if you remember me, but we have met (we used to live near Winchester and went to St. Bridget's for weekday Mass) ( and my dh worked for WPD)- I borrowed the Little Saints preschool program ages ago and took forever to get it back to you
Is Fr. Kelly the same one who used to be at Sacred Heart in Winchester? What a treasure he is!!
My BIL used to live in Purcellville, what a beautiful area! He had a big old farm he rented....but he no longer lives there so sadly I can't be of any help to you!
Anyway, just wanted to say hello and we'll be praying that it is an easy move for you all!

Hi Wendy,
I can't help with the Purcellville area, but wanted to say welcome to the county. And I second what Anne said about the libraries. It's amazing. I check out a huge pile of books in August for a studies I plan to do sometime during the year, and just keep renewing them until we are finished with them, sometimes up to a year later. If I forget to renew on time, there's no fee at all!

Oh Elizabeth, I would have loved to! Please let me know next time you all meet for Mass, and I will plan to be there.
Thanks for the library info, Anne and Irene (and the welcome ). That is one of the main reasons we don't use the library -- Frederick County charges too much in late fees, and I can never manage to return books on time. I'm feeling better about moving already...
Hi Hollee! Of course I remember -- how are you? Yes, it is the very same Fr. Kelly. We were heartbroken when they moved him last summer, but now that we're moving too, well...

I'm jealous - Fr. Kelly is my DH's FAVORITE, favorite priest! And I think he's pretty great, too.

Hi Wendy! We go to mass every Friday at noon. There are always lots of homeschooler there, and we meet for lunch afterwards on the first Fridays. Please PM me so we can meet.
And we LOVE Father Kelly! We actually went to St. Bridget's for a few years and know him from there. We were so happy when he came to St. Francis. We also have two other wonderful visiting priests.
Looking forward to meeting you and your family!!
