Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

You don't have to buy the book Kirsten if you don't mind reading it on line

On Line Version of True Devotion to Mary.

There are about 53 paragraphs in chapter I. 12 days to read gives us about 4-5 paragraphs a day for this first part.

Helen are we going to discuss it as we go along? Or are we waiting until the 12th before we start to discuss Chapter 1?

Let's start right away.
Each paragraph is very rich.
We'll have to take it a little bit at a time.

I recently started True Devotion with a couple of Catholic Homeschooling Friends in my area. It is absolutely amazing...I am currently reading Part II. (It is divided into 2 parts)

As a side note, it is definitely helpful to highlight and write your thoughts in the margins as you go a long.

I will wait to make too many comments until you all get reading. But be prepared for a powerful experience! For me it was a bit hard to get started but once I got going....WOW! St. Louis de Montfort captivates you with every word and page.

And beware that Satan will come out and rear his ugly head as you read this most holy piece of work....

Grace and peace to you all as you get started. I look forward to chatting with you. I will also be keeping you in my prayers! And please pray for me as well...

Thanks Tiffany for the encouragement.

I hope you will join in and tell us about the powerful experiences you have had with this book.

Help......I had a present just show up in the mail from my Godmother, who died about 4 years ago.......it arrived the day of our "fake" Christmas" as Malachy 5yo called it .....the day we opened our gifts to the kids, because we were going to be gone for Christmas. It arrived moments before our present opening.......with a letter from her daughter, saying it was my godmother's book, and that she always made the consecration on March 25th, starting the preparation from early Jan.....and, did I want to join them, as they do this every year, as a family.

It was a gift straight from Heaven, where I believe this holy woman could only have gone......as I had been asking God: "What do you want me to read next???" and nothing was presenting itself......I was floundering.

So......back to the topic here.......

The Book is called: CONSECRATION TO MARY: COMPLETE FIVE-WEEK PREPARATION- Prayers, daily Meditations, Spiritual Guidance, ceremony

The author is FR. Helmuts Libietis.

Does anyone else have this? Can I use this book for the prep? Any ideas?

Thanks........it just seems so special to use the book my godmother used until she died.

Blessings, from a snowless place

Chari -- I have this book -- The Book is called: CONSECRATION TO MARY: COMPLETE FIVE-WEEK PREPARATION- Prayers, daily Meditations, Spiritual Guidance, ceremony

The author is FR. Helmuts Libiet -- and used it a couple of years ago when I first made the consecration.

I have been reading it through again recently when I have a minute (LOL!) It is very thorough, but the author states repeatedly that not every reading or prayer has to be done in order to make your consecration, so I just do what I can, when I can.

God Bless,

Gee, I'd say that was an invitation to make a consecration to Our Lady!
How beautiful.

We're planning to make the preparation during the month of May - feel free to make your prep with your family but conider renewing with us at Pentecost!

Thanks for the great story!
