Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We have just heard about some new soccer rules to be implemented for under 6 ans 7s this year. Apparently the big soccer countries Brazil, etc use this approach and America does to.

The children join the club as usual but they do not belong to a team, every week they turn up to the game and are randomly assigned to a team of 4 within their club. Then four players from each club have a game against four others. I'm assuming the rules are modified also, we haven't heard it all yet

I know change is hard to get used to, fortunately my 'newest' soccer player has taken the news well. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this and what your experience has been?

Great! More touches on the ball, more opportunities to develop skill, better sense of place on the field, much less "bunch ball." No one wasting time in goal. It's a good thing, really

I agree. A very good thing. Much more fun to watch from the sidelines as well. It can be much more tiring for the kids, though. Which, depending on the kids, could be a very good thing...

Theresa - that's just why I'm rather fond of soccer.. it.. well come to think of it.. it doesn't tire my kids out but it does run off the excess energy at least..

Anyway, I don't think they do a real official soccer here.. just a low key parks and rec thing for 6 weeks or so.
