Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

The Maxwells are coming here, and I was wondering if anyone had heard Teri's talk on Managers of Their Homes. Is worth going to hear? Any experience with the book?

I am quickly finding that my scatterbrained ways are not going to cut it with my ever-growing family!

I have the book and have used it for ideas for years now. I'm glad to own it. If I had the opportunity, I'd probably go hear them.

I have heard that they are not particularly open to Catholics, but I wouldn't expect that to show itself in a seminar. Just be aware that as Fundamental Baptists (I think), you will probably hear some things that are not going to be entirely right, theologically.

If you go, would you mind posting to tell us about what you learned? I'd love to hear about it!

Thank you! I wondered about the viewpoint. I'm sure that they've been to our state's homeschool convention, and I have missed them (other great seminars scheduled at the same time ).

I just looked at their website, and they offer a CD of the talk with the book now. It's $3 extra and might be well worth the hassle of going to the church where the seminars are being held...Baptist. I'm a little too weak in my catechesis to mount that campaign.

Thanks again!

Hi Monica,
I have the MOTH book as well as their new Managers of Their Chores book. Both are great resources. I also have their MOTH seminar on tape. Furthermore, I have heard them speak at our homeschool convention. I would suggest you get the book and tape rather than go to the trouble of hearing them speak. They are better on tape and in the book than they are in person. They just aren't very dynamic speakers although I think they have some good insights to share.

I have the book and have implemented some of their scheduling techniques. I have enjoyed both the MOTH book and MOTC (Managers of Their Chores).

I hope it is o.kay that I am here... I am not a Catholic (although I did grow up in the Catholic faith). I am very thankful for the foundation I received during my growing up years.

Blessings,
