We are almost fully recovered from the flu, and while I know this prayer area is mostly for petitions, how about we have a thread for all our thankful, happy prayers -- small ones and big! So many people are suffering and going through so much, and I don't mean to take away from that at all, but I think it would be nice to celebrate all the blessings that make us jump up and down with gratitude and joy. This way we get to share in each other's rejoicing and thanksgiving as well.
Today I am especially thankful for the gift of health for my family, for keeping my husband and eldest daughter and my parents who were visiting flu-free, and for keeping my parents safe on their journey back home to St. Louis. For these we praise and thank You, Lord!!!
Feel free to add yours!

Stef, what a great idea! And today I am truly thankful!Last week, my ds violin teacher told us that she had to go back to work part time and would not be able to offer lessons (she is a homeschooling mom as well). My ds was quite down about this--he truly enjoys violin!
But today, she called and told me that the job did not work out and that for the now she will continue to teach. Hopefully, her husband's business will improve. We will keep praying for that, but we will also be thankful for an excellent teacher in our lives.

This is great! We should share our thankful prayers too. I am thankful that my ds is here for a week. I am also thankful that our dear friends from Michigan are moving here and will be here by the end of the week. God is good!!!

I am thankful...
that my parents were able to visit here for the past 2.5 months.
that my dh arrived home safely from a week away.
that I will be an aunt again soon.
that my children are a pleasure to be with.
that my faith continues to grow and mature.
that my friend, stef, started this thread (glad you are feeling better...me too, finally.)
Love,

I am thankful that my oldest hit the double digits yesterday! After having a father-son bowling party yesterday, he, his brother, and his dad are heading out to the Orlando Magic basketball game (courtesy of a friend). The girls will get to stay home and watch a girly movie...another thing to be thankful for!

I know this might be small but I am SO SO thankful that someone passed my son the ball today at his basketball game. This child is the only homeschooler on a tight knit team of boys. He has played four games prior to this one and NO ONE passed him the ball even once...until today. Unfortunately, he panicked and threw it out of bounds but HEY they PASSED it to him!
