Somehow a browser window opened on my computer yesterday with a link to this article about a soon-to-be-ending exhibit at the Smithsonian Institute. It is an exhibit of fragments and specimens of Bibles pre-year-1000 (!). Unfortunately, the exhibit's last day is Jan. 7th.

We're thinking of going and of pairing it with a visit to the JPII Cultural Center (one of the children has been begging to go back there!). We're putting the logistics and timing in God's hands. We sure wished we knew sooner, as we would have made plans to see it by now.

BTW, the JPII Cultural Center has a wonderful display of nativities from around the world displayed until early January as well. (Actually, I couldn't find the info on the JPII website but I'm 95% sure that it is going until Feb. 12th (at least according to about.com)
