Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was walking around the neighborhood with my children 2 days ago when a cat walked home with us. Since then it's been sitting on our stoop or in our driveway or on our back deck crying. I was just downstairs folding clothes and I could hear it crying in the front yard. Then I came upstairs to check my e-mails and it's crying on our deck, scratching our slider door screen and hitting the window. Does anyone know why it would be acting this way? What would you do?

Maybe it is a stray.
If that is the case, call the pound if you do not want to adopt it.
If it is a neighborhood cat you might want to spray it with water from a sprayer bottle.   Just keep one near the door and spray it when it comes on the porch and tell it to go home.We have had luck in training our cats to stay away fomr the screens with the water bottle.

Viv,
Thanks for the ideas. The cat appears to have left on its own sometime yesterday afternoon.
