Merry Christmas to all on this forum. You have blessed my family life, and my heart, all year! Thank you, and may the Lord abundantly bless all of you.

Would you wonderful prayer warriors please pray for my dh Ed tomorrow? He is having a parathyroid tumor removed. Please pray that the surgery will be easy and successful and that he recovers quickly (and that the tumor is benign--statistically they nearly always are). Necks are tricky and his is a bit bent forward, as he had a spinal cord tumor removed 30 years ago (this tumor is probably a "gift' from all the radiation he had then) and he cannot totally extend his neck back straight.

Thank you for the prayers. I'll post tomorrow evening when I get back from the hospital. I hate to leave him there overnight, but the littles need Mommy home. He is an incomplete quadriplegic and I know it sounds prideful but nobody takes care of his needs like I do, and I worry that when I'm home he won't get quite the help he needs.

Thanks so much for all the prayers! Ed's surgery took 2 hours and 45 minutes to locate the tumor in his neck and get it out. He is pretty sore, as you can imagine. I left him sleeping after a pain shot for a bit of supper and time with the children. I'll return for a bit in a little while, and then come home to spend the night. If his serum calcium levels even out gradually, he can come home tomorrow. I sure hope so. When the wonderful man who is your "rock" is looking so vulnerable, it gets your attention! I realize afresh what a gift of God he is to me. I am truly blessed.
