First, I know it's whiney of me to ask for prayers, but I just feel so down about all this stuff...please pray that I can accept all these little challenges and offer them up for everyone's important intentions and serious health concerns.
I pulled a muscle in my back today and it is very painful for me to drive. Unfortunately, I have to, because our van is temporarily dead and I have spent every day this week driving around looking for the replacement parts, only to be given the wrong ones (requiring return trips). Also, I have to take dh to and from the train each day.
On the good side, the wonderful guy at the Annapolis auto skills shop is helping us track down the right part and he found one today. With luck we can fix the car tomorrow.
School has really suffered as a result of all these errands (plus the breakdown and towing disaster that started it all last week), so I am feeling guilty about that as well.
Please pray that my attitude will improve. We'd made such a great start this Advent (reconciliation service, trip to the Baltimore Basilica) and I feel like it's all slipped away.
Thanks for your prayers and understanding. Please know that I pray for your intentions each day.

Oh, Nancy, the power of prayer is never asked for with a whine! Good for you for asking for the extra help. Back pain of any kind really makes life miserable and magnifies normally irritating stuff.
I pray for the peace and calm of our Blessed Mother for both of us this holiday season!
Blessings,

Praying! Back pain is distressing. So are car problems. But ... they are great lessons in life for the children.

Nancy -
I love to be able to pray for people - you are not whining -- you are honoring us by trusting us to pray for you. Of course I'll pray. The things that are crosses to bear are not always life-threatening.
Peace,
Nancy
