Some homeschooling friends of mine are fighting a bitter fight. The husband/father was diagnosed with a very aggressive tumor in his head last year and in the same week he lost his job.
Having lived this long has been a miracle in itself but this year the tumor is back and "inoperable". They have no health insurance any more and for some reason (the details aren't really my business) from what I've heard they can't get any state help at all. And he can't work of course.
They are an amazing family, very prayerful and so strong. But they have all had to handle so much. Please pray for them, for God' Will in the matter, for their children and for strength for the mother who bears most of the burden of family life management so bravely. Feel free to pray for a complete miracle too! Thanks.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. I saw my friend yesterday at a ladies tea party in our homeschool group. Everyone avoided the topic of her husband because we all figured she was there to get a relief from the difficulties and not go over everything again.
At the end of the tea I mentioned she was in our prayers and immediately her eyes filled with tears as she said thanks.
The medical/financial paperwork alone is keeping her from effectively homeschooling. In addition to EVERYTHING else, I know that must bug her.
We know not the day, nor the hour.
Thank you again for your prayers - they are sooo valuable.

Amie, is there something tangible that the 4real folks can do - ie a special account for medical expenses, etc.? We do continue to pray, of course.
