My good friend, who wears Plus-Size clothing just called me on her way home from a very successful trip to CJ Banks, which is the Plus-Size store of Christopher and Banks. I did a search for CJ Banks on 4real and got nothing, which is why I'm mentioning this, in case others who are looking for casual, modest, plus size clothing don't know about this store.

She had to drive an hour to get there...this is an annual trip. She stuck to the clearance rack and spent $240

This is what she bought: 5 skirts, 1 sweater vest, 1 embellished sweater, 2 turtlenecks, 2 shirts, 1 jacket/blazer, 1 dress.

We have both a CJ Banks (plus size) and a Christopher Banks (not plus size) at our mall. I have had phenomenal success with finding modest clothing that doesn't look out of date. The quality of the fabrics has always been excellent and I've found lots of skirts on the clearance racks at prices that I could not have beat with a sewing machine. I'm very tall, which means I can shop in the bigger sizes at the regular store or the smallest sizes at the plus sized store.

Its the one store I've found where I can buy skirts and dresses off the rack that are long enough, even for me.

Not really. Getting skirts and dresses long enough is very difficult for me. Several years ago, Eddie Bauer had a lot of beautiful jumper style dresses and skirts that came in talls and I sometimes found them in the right size in the outlet off season. But the last two years, their styles have really disappointed me.

J. Jill sometimes has beautiful skirts, but they are very pricey.
