Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Is anyone familiar with the Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan?

My 13 yr old was wanting to read them and someone in our group had a son reading them. THese boys really like Tolkien and LOTR movies and games associated with LOTR.

I admit I was desperate to get him a book in time for St. Nick's day (tomorrow)---one that he would actually read ---so I ordered it but i haven't read it and don't know much about it. And now I'm getting nervous.

Anyone?

Thanks!

Hi Cay,

This is an old post but I'll hope on to say my 2 older sons (13 & 15) LOVED this series of books.

I was just speaking to a good friend, whose opinion that I trust, who has said that her son enjoys these books and that she has not found them to be problematic...

Good luck!
