Hi Families,
My dh started working for Kaiser Permanente on April 4...it's a full-time, 4-6 month contract job, but last week, there was an opening posted for the position that he is working in so he submitted for the job.....full-time, permanent work would be a real blessing for our family.
So, since today is May 1, the feast of St. Joseph the worker, I thought I'd post this novena. If anyone would like to join me, I thought we could do it for the needs of our dh's and families, whatever they may be.
Here's the prayer:
O glorious St. Joseph, you who have power to render possible things which are impossible, come to our aid in our present trouble and distress. Take this important and difficult affair under your particular protection, that it may end happily. O dear, St. Joseph, all our confidence is in you. Let it not be said that we have invoked you in vain, and since you are so powerful with Jesus and Mary, show that your goodness equals your power. Amen.
Three Hail Mary's.
St. Joseph, pray for us
John Paul II, pray for us.
God Bless,

I'm in, Maria! I'll be praying for your dh.
A dear friend of mine has a husband who is going through "spiritual warfare" at his workplace and thinks he is being pushed out of his job. They just relocated within the past year.
Also, I have my dh and several other dhs continually on my prayer list. Husbands & fathers don't have it easy in today's world.

What perfect timing for my own dh as well. Hope it's not too selfish, but I will join for both Steve and my own Michael. Where two or more are gathered in prayer...thank you, Maria!

Thanks for joining in with the prayers!
I'm so glad I'm not a man and having to work in the climate out there....I'd rather go through labor....

Watching my husband transform into the suffering servant that he has become has been so inspiring to me. Yet, it hasn't been easy to watch. It is so difficult out in "the real world."
Dave is also looking for new employment locally. He is very grateful for the work he has but the on call 24/7 is increasing and taking from our family time.
Beautiful novena, Maria.
Grateful for the intercession of St. Joseph,

Thank you for joining us, Janette.
Dh found out late yesterday that he is still employed. His boss acted like it was no big deal and as if all couldn't be better. I'm certain I should feel more grateful than I do--perhaps I'm shell-shocked.
Will continue the novena for discernment on a move. Praise to St. Joseph!
