Dh and I went to the camera stores yesterday and got my Christmas present(for the next 40 years)--my(gasp)digital camera. Thank you all for your input and suggestions a few months ago, I learned a lot and it truly did help me when I got to the store. I did end up with an SLR as most of you pegged me to be most comfortable with. The Nikon D80 is the new addition to my camera bag and I am excited. As soon as I figure out how to get the photos out of the camera-I think I have the picture taking down pat thanks to the instant feedback --maybe I can join you all in blogging.
