Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This Friday I'm hosting a Pajama Party for our small homeschooling group. It's sort of a kickoff to Advent. I'm a bit stumped on a menu. I am going to have food items that are appetizer like things that can be filling. Help!!!

Quesadillas cut into smallish wedges? Veggie platter? Cheese and crackers? Meatballs?

Just a couple of thoughts.

Have fun!

Peace,
Nancy

Hot Cheesy Artichoke dip is my favorite easy, filling, appetizer.

2 cups shredded mozarella cheese
2 cups parmesean cheese
1 cup mayo
2 cans artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced

Combine all and bake for 35 minutes at 375 degrees.
Serve with tortilla chips or crisp crackers.

I hope you have a wonderful party, KC!

These are so yummy (though they don't seem like they would be):
cut 1 pkg Oscar Mayer hot dogs (has to be Oscar Mayer) into thirds
cut bacon into halves
wrap bacon strips around hot dog pieces and secure with toothpick
put all into crockpot and dump 1 box brown sugar over all
cook on low few a couple of hours
Serve warm. These are so delicious and they look very classy, but when they get too cold they look funny.

Thank you everyone for your ideas. These are great. I think I will do your recipe, Rebecca. I've been looking for a tried and true artichoke recipe.
