Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ok, I'm only 11 weeks now but I've come to the conclusion that its time to move on to more roomy options. Its been a few years since I bought maternity clothes but the one thing that I really, really, REALLY can't stand, is how tight the elastic is!! It makes me throw up! Ok, I know that's weird but all that extra pressure around my belly just does not sit well with me. Sooo, does anyone know if there is such a thing as drawstring maternity pants?? Or what have you ladies found to be the most comfortable these days? And this is kind of a pain that I'm still not quite showing so maternity pants are big but moving up to the next larger regular size doesn't work either- the clothes just hang on me and look sloppy. Bah, being in between sizes is frustrating.

I try to find dresses/skirts for the same reason. OH, and overalls. I don't like anything remotely tight touching my belly, which is why I went to maternity clothes early.

It's been hard finding anything new though -- bottoms tend to be under the belly style (?!?) and the shirts are 2-3 inches shorter than the ones I bought for my first pregnancies 5&6 years ago.

You might try ebay. I found a cute pair of overalls there a couple weeks ago.

Good Luck!!!

Melanie

I recently went to Christopher and Banks and found some great stuff with elastic waists. I got a pair of pants that were elastic with a drawstring (for $5!) and 2 skirts that have elastic waistbands. They were having a great sale while I was there. I am 13 weeks and was looking for something to get me through the winter months, in particular for church. For my last pregnancy I bought a skirt there that lasted me until I was probably 7 months or so. I just kept pulling it up higher and higher I hope that helps.
