To Classical Music in 52 Easy Lessons

Has anyone used this? I bought the book last week and it looks like something I could handle to "jumpstart" our exposure to classical music. If you've used it, any comments, suggestions? My specific question is where to buy the musical pieces suggested in the book? Any ideas where I can buy affordable CD's. Has some enterprising person made a compilation CD of all the pieces used in the book?

I purchased the book about four years ago, but never used it because we did not have all the music on hand. I've always thought the "52 Lessons" would be a wonderful program if it came with an accompanying CD. Now, finally, I think I may have found the solution. Ever since we purchased our Mac computer, my husband and I have been using ITunes. If you are not familiar with the site, it allows you to purchase individual pieces for 99 cents each. These can be downloaded onto your computer and later burned onto CDs if you have a CD burner. My guess is that most of the pieces mentioned in the "52 Easy Lessons" book are available.

Umm, Alice!!! You are sooo smart!!

We have an iMac and my husband just recently signed up with iTunes...And I bought 52 Lessons and never used it for the same reason you mentioned...Wow, I'm excited...my dh doesn't know it yet, but he has a new late-night project!
