My son, Stephen, will receive his first reconciliation on Saturday and his first Communion on Sunday, May 1. Please keep him in your prayers and pray for our pastor as well.
Are there other first communicants for whom we can pray?

Matthias will do his on May 7, same day and time as Gabriel's graduation at Belmont Abbey (200 miles away). We will have to split the family.
But we will all get together the next day for Mother's Day and Laurence's third birday. Then we can call my mother in Canada to wish her happy birthday as well as happy mother's day!
I guess this is "normal" for a large exiled family.
But we still rejoice in all these events just a little sad we can't all be together to celebrate them.
Blessings,

My son Alex will have his First Communion tomorrow. My mother came from the Dominican Republic to be here with us. I am so happy for him and excited that my mother could come

We will be praying for your families and pastors, and especially the First Communicants.
Louise, how sad that you must be split for such important one-time occasions!

How beautiful reading about these first communicants! I will pray for all your children this weekend (my teenager receives the sacrament of Confirmation this Sunday, so that will remind me!)
Louise, my husband had to miss my first son's Confirmation a couple of years back. He was at the hospital with Aidan at San Francisco. It was difficult, so I know how you feel. Congratulations on Gabriel's graduation as well as Matthias's First Holy Communion!

Prayers for all first communicants and their families! We are preparing to have Ian receive his first Holy Communion with the family when, God willing, his new brother or sister is baptized.
Love,
