My friend has asked for prayers for her son. He is 11 years old. They just found out he has mono. Here is the e-mail her mom sent me:
Hi Ruth!
Well, we got the test results back for Bobby and he DOES have mono!!! His
spleen is slightly enlarged and his liver function slightly elevated, so he
has to rest for the most part for 6-8 weeks!!! He can get up and around in
the house, but he is not supposed to rough-house or play etc. I told him
that you would put him on the prayer list around the WORLD, and he seemed to
like that idea. It was quite funny actually because he thought for a bit,
and then said, "Well Mom, if everyone all over the world is going to be
praying for me, can you ask for them to pray for me to be good instead since
I have a hard time being good." I asked if he thought he was bad, and he
said, "Well, everyone keeps telling me I am being bad, so I guess I am."
Poor fella. But, he can be a real stinker!!! So, maybe you can add that
request per him as well. :>)
So, he is 11, has mono, and has an enlarged spleen and elevated liver
function. He should be fine in 6-8 weeks, but has to rest, and wants to be
good. hehe :>)

That's really awful. My sister had that when she was 9yo and she suffered.
I'll pray. . .
