Well, I'm 6 days overdue now. I saw the doctor yesterday and he's getting "uncomfortable." My last baby was 13 days overdue, no signs of postmaturity and weighed 8lbs. I'm having a biophysical profile tomorrow to check on the baby. Please pray that the baby and I stay healthy and that I go into labor on my own before I reach 42 weeks, at which point my doctor said I would be "high risk." I'm honestly terrified of having to be induced.  I'm also worried about something happening to the baby if we wait too long. I hope that God takes these decisions out of my hands by letting me go into labor on my own, but if He doesn't, please pray that He grants us wisdom as we face decisions on whether and when to induce labor.
Please, please, please, don't post any scary stories right now. I'm extremely emotional and anxious and I'm already aware of what the risks are.

No scary story here. I was ten days overdue with dh set to leave town. My midwife broke my water at 8:30 and we were holding sweet Karoline five hours later. Nothing else was necessary. Hang in there. It's gonna be great!

Dawn,
You have been on my mind so much lately! I know that it is usually the Holy Spirit nudging me to pray for you. I'm with Elizabeth. My last baby was over a week overdue, I was high risk already, my doula couldn't be at my labour, her back-up couldn't either. I begged God to go into labour on my own. I ended up being induced and it was my easiest, fastest, and most beautiful labour yet. God was my O.B., labour coach, and doula. He will be yours, too!

Dawn,
I just thought about you last night and wondered if you'd had the wee one!
Just some info - my last two (so far, I hope) were induced as my 2nd child was 10 lbs, 2 oz. and 22". All of my babies have been overdue.
I, like you, dreaded the idea of being induced, but everything with those births in terms of the inductions were fine.
We will pray for you!

I'm sure it doesn't seem like it to you, Dawn, but your pregnancy seemed to whiz by!
I've been induced with my last two and it went very well. They were beautiful births.
All will be well dear. A birth is beautiful no matter the details.

My inductions have always been just fine--don't worry about that...maybe this little one is just smart enough to know how good he has it and wants to percolate as long as possible! 
My prayers and offerings are for you tonight, Dawn, our Rosary as well...it won't be long until you have a sweet blessing to cuddle and nurse!
