Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I enjoyed this article by Peggy Noonan, and I thought you might like to read it.

"It was impossible. But it happened. No one was really considering Cardinal Ratzinger until that mass.

Those who are pursuing John Paul II's canonization, please note: his first miracle is Benedict XVI."

I really loved this part, Alice. Thanks for the link!

I noticed the changed link and went to her archives. But it was a good thing because I also read her article from the week before called "The Cardinal", originally thinking that was what you intended to link to. That one is beautiful too! Noonan really has a gift with words. I might have to start reading her columns more regularly. I know I've enjoyed a few in the past too.

Hi everyone,

Not to get off topic but did anyone read Peggy Noonan's other article "We Want God" about John Paul II? I read it to my kids when we were working on their notebook. She is fantastic.

Also there are some great articles on our new Pope at the Catholicity website,if anyone is interested.

Blessings,

Brenda (mom to 6)

Is she Catholic? She seemed so reverent to our Pope!

Yes, she is Catholic.

Off to read "The Cardinal" and "We Want God." Thank you for the recommendations, everyone!
