Well I have been looking forward this Advent to reading the third book in the Jotham's Trilogy - Tabitha's Travels and it is 'no where to be found'

. The publisher has stopped printing and all the 'big' stores are sold out!! Had I known this was going to happen I would have definitely purchased a copy last year.

I have spent all morning searching the internet and it is really ridiculous what people want for their used book.

Anyhow this is my last attempt... if anyone knows of a spare book that they would like to sell (at a resonable price) or if you happen to find one in your local bookstore, church bookstore that is still stocked on the bookshelf could you please please please send me an email I am VERY interested!!!

I started a thread on this in the Living Literature forum a few days ago - I was looking for Jotham's Journey - and could not believe it was out of print. The sad thing is that I went to the Catholic Shop a few weeks ago and they had all the books - I was just stopping in quickly so I made a note to buy them when I did my Advent shopping - unfortunately - when I went back last week they only had the Barholomew's one - I did get this - but have not managed to find the others anywhere. I may borrow from someone in the TORCH group.

This is so sad!!

I can't believe they have stopped printing these books. This has become a favorite advent traditon for us for about the last 5 years-we are on our second read through.

I was planning on giving these to family members and godchildren this year.

I started looking for Bartholomew's Passage. Found it! I ordered it from amazon.ca which is Candian amazon. You might check it for the others as well. All other places like abe books, half.com, amazon.com didn't have it, but Candian amazon did. Good luck!

I looked on all the amazon.coms (USA, UK & CA) and none of them have it in stock. That was why I was really hoping someone might find it stocked on a local bookstore shelf somewhere and I could purchase it from them.

Oh well. I will borrow a copy this year and then hopefully it will show back up in the next three year cycle of reading.

You know we actually didn't like Tabitha's Travels that much. Dh reads our Advent read alouds and he really didn't like her attitude, she came across as rather a feminist, so he refused to read her anymore. Now we didn't finish is so maybe it would have improved and she may have had a change of heart as the book went along. I'm open to being told the book improved.
