Johnathan goes before the Bridgade Board in the morning for Soldier of the Quarter. If you have a moment would you please say a quick prayer that he will not be nervous and will do his very best.
Also, he leaves next week TDY (temporary duty) to Ft Irwin, CA for a whole month of training. Please keep John and Nikki in your prayers during that time. She will be completely alone while he is gone as her family is in PA.
She just got her driver's license today. She is 21, but was very nervous about driving. She really had no choice but to get it because John will be gone and she would have had no way to get anywhere.
Thank you!
You are all in my prayers. I have been reading but too busy to post. Most of the time my hands are full and I can only read not type. Hopefully, I will be back to posting again soon.
Blessings,
Krisann

Me, too! I know how nerve-wracking those boards can be.

HE WON!!
He was up against 4 other soldiers and he won. They told him he will be receiving an ARCOM - Army Commendation Medal to add to his two AAM's.
As John's Drill Sgt said: "Not bad for a homeschooled kid!"
His chief promised a set of ACU's (uniforms) to anyone who won a board. John has won 3 so he has 3 new uniforms. I think the cheif is going broke.
They also gave him the rest of the day off today and tomorrow, which is really great because he will get to spend a little extra time with Nikki before he goes to Ft. Irwin.
I believe Ft. Irwin is in the California desert. I have never been there but my sister and her husband were stationed there for a couple of years. I think it is near Barstow.
Now John goes before the SOQ Board for all of Ft. Riley; IF he should win that one, he would go before one for the division. IF he were to win that one he would go to the highest level which is the entire Army! I don't have a date for the next board yet, but I will post a prayer request as soon as I find out.
At each level he has said he hopes he DOESN'T win because it is a lot of work preparing, but then when he gets in there he knows he has to do his best.
Thank you all for your prayers! We really appreciate them.
Blessings,
Krisann
