Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

What are your favorite explanations or descriptions for Montessori's "sensitive periods"? I've always found this concept nebulous and now I read that she called them "nebulae" so perhaps nebulous is the right term

I'd love to get more clarity on the Montessori approach since it's always puzzled me a bit and so I'm trying to focus on one bit at a time.

Willa,
I'm not Montessori-enough to address the "sensitive periods" but I did chuckle over your last sentence a bit. I find the Montessori approach so "Ignatian". So thoroughly Ignatian!

I look at it from that angle and it makes perfect sense to me.

Sorry, I don't mean to change this thread. I just had to mention that connection.

LOL, thanks Cay!
I think it is my temperament -- SO not-practical -- that gives me the comprehension problem.

But I'll try and think about it that way -- as an implementation of Ignatian.
