Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'd like to make first aid kits that are easy to carry (on hikes) with my Brownies (they are 2nd graders this year). Any suggestions for what to put them in and what to put in them?

Thanks,
Michelle (the least outdoorsy person you will ever meet)

my dh is a baseball coach and this is what we keep in ours:

bandaids
tylenol for kids
instant ice pack
benedryl spray
witch hazel wipes
bacitracin

i think those are the basics - they are certainly all we have ever needed at a game. and, they fit well in a little cosmetic (see-through) case i got from target.

If the Brownies want to make their own, here is a Film Canister First Aid Kit and a second one from Tiger Scouts.

I remember making your own emergency kit (much better, with matches and tylenol instead of tootsie rolls and string) after reading survival books like Hatchet in 6th grade in the Rockies. This site also has a 72 hour milk jug kit.

Here is the American Red Cross Kit List.
