We think he has West Nile Virus. Tests are conclusive that he does have a virus and he is rapidly becoming dehydrated. The actual WNV tests take much longer to come back from the labs and we won't know for at least a week. He seems to have the encephalitis variety that brings extreme headaches.

Praying. Make SURE they get a specialist for him. This is really, really important. One of the rare side effects of WNV is infection of the brain, which can lead to long-term headache and health problems.

I'll pray hard that your husband recovers quickly!

Dh seems a bit better today! Thanks for the prayers.   The terrible head and neck pain has subsided and I was really worried about that.   It seems to have moved into his chest.

I keep praying that it is just some virus and not WNV! The lingering affects of this can be quite bad.
