I don't post much, but I often read your prayer requests and include your intentions in our nightly Rosary.
My first prayer request is for my dad, Gary, who will go in for quadruple bypass surgery on Tuesday. My dad is young, only 59, so we hope that that is in his favor. Please pray for a successful surgery and more importantly for his conversion. He has been away from the church my entire lifetime and has a severe problem with alcohol. My hope is that this surgery is the beginning of a new life for him.
My second request is for a dear friend, Helen, who died on Friday. My dd and I met Helen this past spring when her dd asked if there was anyone who could visit her in the hospital. My dd and I started visiting her regularly and got to know this beautiful Christian woman. Please pray for the repose of her soul and for comfort for her family.

Thank you so much for your prayers! My dad came through his surgery beautifully. He is awake and talking. He came off of the vent much ahead of schedule. He should be out of ICU tomorrow. Your continued prayers are welcomed as he needs much more than just physical healing.

I'm praying with St. Monica for your father on both counts -- his return to the church and his freedom from alcohol addiction.
