I thought I'd share that I have been embarking on a unit study type of thing for myself, on family traditions, and how to incorporate more of the church year (and other traditions too) into our home.
I have not grown up with this sort of thing, and as a child I longed for it. But as an adult parent, trying things often feels awkward, like I just don't know what I'm doing . . . Well this is a topic I've always been fascinated by and wanted to learn more about. So I decided, this is my year to research and learn! Dh is very interested in this too.
I was reading 2 very inspiring books this afternoon, "Festivals, Family and Food" by Diana Carey and someone else, and "Mrs. Sharp's Traditions," and learned about Michaelmas, Martinmas and Candlemas! I also bought one of the books mentioned in Elizabeth's book by Michaelann Martin, but have not read it closely yet.
I wondered if anyone else has any favorite resources or books on these things? Or a good WEBSITE or two would be even better, as sometimes I have to wait a while for books.
I want to try some things, but without getting overwhelmed--!

I have personally done that unit study, over and over. I never get tired of reading, and different people's perspectives on how to incorporate the traditions.
I don't want to overwhelm you. I have a list of both in-print and out-of-print resources, some that are available to read online. If you PM your email address I can send it to you (and anyone else who is interested).

Maria Von Trapp: Her liturgical book Around the Year with the Trapp Family: Keeping the Feasts and Seasons of the Liturgical Year is a classic.

If you really liked "Festivals, Family and Food" you will REALLY enjoy Joanna Bogle's book Catholic customs with an English twist, I recommend A Book of Feasts and Seasons. It's been updated, now in fourth edition, MoreHouse Publishing. Amazon seems to have the older edition. But since it's an English title, you might have an easier time finding it elsewhere nearer to you. I have an older edition and I keep forgetting to order a newer one!

I don't have any specifics for you, but I am doing the same sort of thing.
First, I have my "liturgical" binder, and as I find articles/activities/etc. that pertain to the various parts of the year, I add them, or I easily lose track! 
I started off looking at Polish Catholic traditions, as dh is 100%. I have been/am putting some into practice throughout the year. (Ex. the oplatek at Christmas; or my sil, who is Italian, helps her mom with Christmas Eve dinner of seven fish.)
I am now looking into more of my family's heritage, and looking for the Catholic/Christian celebrations that would be found there (I was raised Episcopal, my parents' faith heritage includes Anglican, Lutheran, and Baptist, as my grandparents came from England, Germany, and... the rest had been here a while.  ) Of course, these traditions we add on would be ones compatible with Catholicism.
Also, even though no one in my family is Mexican, we really celebrate the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and of course that night we eat Mexican!
Or the feast day of St. Maximilian Kolbe, we ate Polish.
Just little things like that. I am not a terribly inventive person!
